◦ The Brief

Three bedrooms, a grand living room, a mandir, a family lounge and a working kitchen — all to sit inside 3,000 sq.ft. without the house ever feeling like it is holding its breath.

◦ The Approach

The commission was a bespoke residential bungalow, and the whole design turned on intelligent planning: making every square foot earn its place so the home reads as expansive rather than merely efficient. Rooms are proportioned against one another instead of maximised individually, which is what keeps the openness intact once the programme is all in. The facade treats that discipline as an opportunity — curves soften the structure, circular punctures invite light, and brickwork laid in a bold curvilinear pattern grounds the house in texture. Exposed brick, crisp white forms, and expansive glazing hold the elevation in balance. Inside, terracotta pots are set into a filler-slab system in place of excess concrete, using fewer resources and keeping the upper floor naturally cooler.
